About
Hi there!
I'm your average clothing consumer based in Hong Kong, and I have always felt extremely guilty buying clothes. It felt like there was a tradeoff between building my own style, and being a sustainable consumer.
Controversial (and open to discussion), but I do not subscribe to the idea that buying clothes first-hand, in the green-washed-guise of "recycled materials" or "closed-loop process" is sustainable at all. The only truly closed-loop method of shopping is to not buy anything at all; in other words, purchasing something that is already made and will not cause further damage to the planet, its resources, and the labour involved in fast fashion.

But I'm a city girl! Convenience is king, right? So what am I to do if I need a dress ASAP but the only thing near is the late Top-Shop (rest in peace) on Queen's road? So I introduce -- what I wish I had growing up -- the most comprehensive guide to second-hand, sustainable fashion in Hong Kong. It is a work in progress, and I hope to add more details to each shop as time goes on.

My aim is to increase the accessibility and awareness of sustainable fashion in Hong Kong where a lot of conscious young people reside. Let's invigorate a movement! Let's do our best to ditch shopping first-hand!

Caveat: This is not to encourage criticism on those who shop at fast-fashion outlets due to affordability. I hope to develop this guide to provide a range of prices that will suit all audiences. Furthermore, as first-hand fast fashion is demanded less, hopefully, the second-hand industry in Hong Kong will grow and become more competitive.
